Last month saw the first Directors meeting of the 1 South West Community Interest Company (CIC).

The not-for-profit venture was recently set up by several members of the project’s Executive Board in order to extend the legacy of the project and generate an income that will be re-invested into adventurous cycling in the South West. Current funding (from the Rural Development Programme for England’s Sustainable Rural Tourism Fund) and all planned delivery will finish at the end of 2013.

During the next 18 months the directors will decide the priorities and direction of 1 South West from 2014 onwards, and options for income generation.
