1 South West is a true partnership between a number of bodies, all of which have worked together to ensure that the project happens in a way that benefits as many people as possible.
The following bodies are represented on the Executive Board of the 1 South West Project and set the direction of the project:
Forestry Commission England
Forestry Commission England is the Lead Partner for the 1 South West project, hosting the project officer.
Sport England represent sport interests as well as having funded the project officer and development work.
South West Tourism
South West Tourism represent tourism interests and strategic development of the region’s tourism economy.
Woodland Renaissance represent the private woodland industry.
CTC – The UK’s National Cyclist’s Organisation represent cycling interests.
The International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) represents mountain biking interests.
British Cycling represent cycling interests.
Devon County Council
Devon County Council part-host the project officer and represent Authorities interests.
Active Devon represent the region’s Country Sports Partnerships.
The following bodies are working in partnership with the 1 South West Project to deliver trails at their sites assisted with funding from the Rural Development Program for England:
South West Lakes Trust
South West Lakes Trust will deliver trails at four of their sites.
The National Trust
The National Trust will deliver trails at two of their sites.
Bristol City Council
Bristol City Council will deliver trails at one of it’s sites.
